Biography

Dr. Roberta Stramandinoli Zanicotti is a Brazilian dentist specializing in Oral Medicine, Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Hospital Dentistry. She holds a PhD in Oncology from the University of São Paulo (USP), a Master’s degree in Oral Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR), and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Dentistry at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). She completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City and an observership in Dental Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Zanicotti is a member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery clinical staff at Hospital Erasto Gaertner and the Reconstructive Facial Prosthetics Service at the Paraná Rehabilitation Hospital, a public reference center for patients with facial and maxillofacial defects. Her clinical and academic work focuses on the dental management and rehabilitation of patients with cancer, particularly maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation, treatment-related complications, and restoration of function, autonomy, and quality of life. She is also a researcher in healthcare innovation and assistive technology, with a focus on the application of 3D scanning, virtual planning, CAD/CAM, and 3D printing to maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation.
