Dr. Yuanyuan Zheng is a physician-scientist specializing in oncology, with a growing academic profile at the intersection of cancer biology, translational medicine, immunotherapy, and nanomedicine. She currently works in the Department of Hematology and Oncology. Trained in clinical medicine, Dr. Zheng has developed a research career focused on understanding tumor heterogeneity, cancer stemness, therapeutic resistance, and innovative strategies for precision cancer treatment. Driven by the clinical challenge of relapse and treatment resistance in malignant tumors, Dr. Zheng has devoted her work to exploring cancer stem cells and their communication networks, particularly exosome-mediated regulation in lung adenocarcinoma. Beyond mechanistic cancer research, Dr. Zheng has actively pursued translational approaches that integrate immunotherapy and nanotechnology. Her work includes the development of exosome-based immune strategies, dendritic cell vaccine concepts, CAR-T-related research, and nanomaterial-assisted anticancer applications. Notably, her research on immunogenic exosome encapsulated black phosphorus nanoparticles demonstrated the potential of nanomaterials as photo-nanovaccine platforms for cancer therapy, reflecting her commitment to bridging basic discoveries with clinically relevant therapeutic innovation. Dr. Zheng has led and participated in multiple research projects supported by institutional and municipal scientific programs, as well as national-level collaborative grants. Her current research integrates cancer stem cell biology, exosome multi-omics and nanomedicine, aiming to develop more precise diagnostic tools and more effective therapeutic strategies for advanced cancers. Through this interdisciplinary approach, Dr. Zheng continues to contribute to the advancement of translational oncology and nanotechnology-enabled cancer therapy.
