Professor Eduard Babulak is an accomplished international scholar, researcher, consultant, educator, professional engineer, and polyglot with over 30 years of academic and industry experience. He has served extensively as an Editor, Reviewer, Conference Chair, and ethics committee leader, including as Chair of the IEEE Vancouver Ethics, Professional, and Conference Committee.
Prof. Babulak has been an Invited Plenary and Keynote Speaker at leading global institutions, including Tokyo (2023), Oxford (2020, 2023), the University of Cambridge, MIT, Yokohama National University, University of Electro-Communications (Tokyo), Kyushu Institute of Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Sungkyunkwan University, the University of Surrey, Purdue University, Penn State, Graz University of Technology, Czech Technical University, and many other prestigious universities worldwide.
His academic and engineering contributions have been internationally recognized by the UK Engineering Council, the European Federation of Engineers, and professional engineering bodies in Canada. He holds a DOCENT (D.Sc.) degree from the Czech Republic, along with Ph.D., M.Sc., and HNC qualifications from the United Kingdom, and Diploma Engineer (M.Sc. and B.Sc.) degrees in Electrical Engineering from Slovakia.
Prof. Babulak is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), London, a Chartered Fellow and ELITE Group Mentor of the British Computer Society, a Senior Member and Mentor of IEEE and ACM, a Distinguished Member of ACM, and a Chartered Member and Nominated Fellow of the IET, London. He has also served as an Invited Panel Member for the U.S. National Science Foundation (2013–2014) and as an Expert Consultant for the European Commission’s HORIZON 2020 and FP6–FP7 programs.
He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor-in-Chief, Co-Editor, and Guest Editor for several scientific journals. Prof. Babulak speaks 16 languages, and his biography has been featured in the Cambridge Blue Book, Cambridge Index of Biographies, Stanford Who’s Who, and multiple editions of Who’s Who in the World and America.
