Dr. Chalise is the former Vice Chairman of- Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, Bagmati Pradesh, Nepal.
Dr. Chalise completed his Ph.D. (Doctoral of Health Sciences) in 2007 from the Department of Social Gerontology, School of Health Sciences and Nursing, Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo, Japan. MA (Gold Medalist), Population Studies, TU. ISC, BSc-Amrit Science Campus.
He has attended many International Conference of Aging and presented papers. He was also awarded best paper presenter award in a few conference.
He has published more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals in the aging and public health field, especially focusing on Nepalese older persons. He is also actively doing the role of peer reviewer of the articles submitted to the reputed Journal of public health and Aging.
Area of Expertise: Actvie aging, Healthy aging, Functional disability, falls among the elderly, Elderly abuse.
