Biography

Prof. Patrick Siarry, Ph.D. is an internationally recognized researcher and Professor Emeritus at the University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), France. With more than four decades of experience in academia and research, he has made significant contributions to the fields of artificial intelligence, optimization, and intelligent systems. He is widely known for his pioneering work in metaheuristic optimization techniques, including simulated annealing and evolutionary computing.

Prof. Siarry has authored and edited numerous books, published over 80 international journal articles, and supervised many doctoral researchers. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has served on several international scientific committees and editorial boards. His research has had broad applications in engineering, signal and image processing, control systems, biomedical engineering, and complex system optimization.
