Raul D. S. G. Campilho
Biography
Dr. Raul D. S. G. Campilho is a Permanent Associate Professor with Habilitation at ISEP – School of Engineering, Porto, Portugal, specializing in Applied Mechanics. He holds a Degree, Master’s, Ph.D., and Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering, all completed with distinction.
With over 20 years of academic experience, he has taught courses in Finite Element Method, Mechanics of Materials, Machine Design, CAD/CAM, Automation, and related areas. He has supervised 6 Ph.D., 23 M.Sc., and 52 B.Sc. theses.
A highly prolific researcher, he has published 47 books, 179 book chapters, and 390 indexed journal papers in leading materials and mechanics journals. He has delivered 58 keynote lectures and more than 730 conference papers worldwide.
He is Editor-in-Chief of the Academia Materials Science Journal, reviewer for over 140 journals, and actively involved in organizing international conferences. He has participated in eight funded research projects and currently serves as Sub-director of the CIDEM research centre at ISEP.
